Small Business
Everyone knows that Small Business is America’s economic rocket fuel, employing 2/3 of the workforce in the US. While NEDC does not appear to be a small business, NEDC has all of the credentials necessary for SBLOs (Small Business Liason’s) requirements. NEDC is a Small, Woman-Owned business, certified by the Women’s Enterprise National Council in Washington D.C., and also by the Center for Women and Enterprise in Boston, MA. NEDC is also State-certified Women-Owned by the Small Business Diversity Office of Massachusetts. NEDC also self certifies Small Disadvantaged through the SBA, and is registered with SAM.
The SBA was established in 1953 by President Eisenhower, to help, counsel and assist Small Business in the US. NEDC is a proud member of the SBA and is grateful for its help over the years, including purchasing two buildings through their SBA504 program. NEDC’s 102,000 sqft facility is located in Methuen, MA. Methuen is a gateway city, in the 5th congressional district, near the communities that its employees are a part of. Although NEDC is still a small business in a legal sense, it is not a small business in a manufacturing sense.
NEDC is a certified manufacturer of government specification materials such as MIL-DTL-83528F (QPL A, B, C, D, F, G, K, L and M). NEDC is a recognized supplier of custom gasket solutions for many industries, including medical, military, automotive, and energy markets.
NEDC is a member of several industry organizations, including the National Defense Industry Association.
The company president serves on a Supplier Advisory Council for a major prime contractor.
NEDC remains focused in maintaining the benefits of being a small business. Some of the benefits NEDC’s customers will see are:
- Live Human Interaction – no automated phone answering system
- Dedicated contacts for every account with back-up
- On-time delivery
- Communication
- RFQ, RFP and Quotes within 24 hours

These are just some of the benefits of working with a small business like NEDC. If you have any questions about small business or would like to inquire, please call us at 978-686-6332, or email us at sales@nedc.com.
