If your design has pushed past the limits of a basic silicone pad but does not require a premium high-performance grade, Parker Chomerics CHO-THERM T609 offers a logical upgrade. It is a gray silicone pad reinforced with fiberglass, delivering 1.5 W per meter-Kelvin thermal conductivity and dielectric strength that exceeds standard commercial pads. At NEDC, we convert T609 into die-cut shapes and roll formats for power electronics and automotive customers who need a middle-ground material with proven reliability.

Where T609 Fits
T609 delivers the highest thermal conductivity of the standard commercial series while keeping a familiar silicone fiberglass construction. Its lower Shore A hardness of 70 means it conforms well to slightly uneven surfaces without requiring excessive mounting pressure. This makes it a natural step up from T441 or T444 when thermal performance becomes a bottleneck in power semiconductors or motor drives.
Typical Applications
- Automotive engine and motor controllers
- Power conversion equipment
- UPS systems and energy storage
- Consumer electronics and television power supplies
NEDC supplies CHO-THERM T609 in die-cut parts, slit rolls, and sheets. Move up to T500 or 1678 for higher performance, or see our full gap filler pads guide.
