When thermal density is high and the voltage across the interface demands serious insulation, the top of the HV series becomes necessary. Parker Chomerics CHO-THERM HV3320 is the highest-conductivity grade in the CHO-THERM HV line, delivering 3.3 W per meter-Kelvin apparent thermal conductivity in a 0.040-inch profile. Its breakdown voltage exceeds 20 kilovolts DC. At NEDC, we convert HV3320 for customers who need maximum thermal performance and the highest dielectric margin CHO-THERM HV provides.

Why HV3320?

HV3320 is the only CHO-THERM HV grade that exceeds 3.0 W per meter-Kelvin. Its 0.293 degrees C-inch squared per watt thermal impedance makes it the most efficient heat conductor in the family despite being the thickest. This is because the higher filler loading in the thicker matrix overcomes the added thickness penalty. For high-voltage bus assemblies and power modules where the gap naturally runs larger, HV3320 turns that extra thickness into an actual advantage.

Typical Applications

  • High-voltage bus assemblies and power distribution
  • Power conversion and uninterruptible supplies at elevated voltage
  • Industrial inverters and motor drives with large gaps
  • Aerospace power distribution where outgassing is specified
  • Systems requiring the maximum thermal and dielectric margin from CHO-THERM HV

NEDC stocks and converts HV3320 in the standard 10 by 15 inch sheet size with or without PSA. For thinner alternatives, see HV2320. For standard CHO-THERM products, browse our gap filler pad guide.
