Engineers who need more thermal conductivity than the thinnest HV grade but cannot afford to add thickness often look for the next step in the series. Parker Chomerics CHO-THERM HV1717 delivers exactly that. It shares the same 0.010-inch profile as HV1110 but pushes apparent thermal conductivity to 1.7 W per meter-Kelvin and raises DC breakdown voltage to 16.6 kilovolts. At NEDC, we supply HV1717 as die-cut parts and sheets for power electronics customers who want better thermal numbers without changing their gap stackup.

Why HV1717?

HV1717 is the natural upgrade path from HV1110 when thermal performance needs to improve and the mounting geometry does not allow a thicker pad. Its breakdown voltage also jumps meaningfully to 16.6 kV DC, which adds safety margin for higher-voltage designs. This makes it a cost-effective step up when your thermal budget requires it but your electrical budget still fits within the same thin profile.

Typical Applications

  • Power semiconductors with higher switching losses
  • UPS and power conversion modules at higher bus voltages
  • Automotive inverters and DC-DC converters
  • Television and high-brightness display power supplies

NEDC converts HV1717 in custom sizes on sheets and rolls. For similar dimensions with lower conductivity, see HV1110. For thicker and stronger insulation, see HV2320 or HV3320.
